I AM

I AM THE FIRST

My Spirit never rests

As you believe these words of truth

Your soul shall find much rest.

Put all your confidence in Me

Then your faith shall surely stand

Not in realms of imagination

But in a God who is close at hand.

For I’m your shelter in the storm

A place where you can rest

Where your heart will find much comfort

And you’ll know that you are blessed

You’ll know then that I am faithful

That every word I spoke is true

In the Spirit there’s a place of rest

I’ve prepared it — Just for you

There’s a place for all my children

A resting place within my heart

Where cares just seem to melt away

As strength I do impart.

Peace flows there like a river

Sorrow and mourning flee away

For “In Me’ there is fulfillment

Joy and Peace for everyday.

Say not – that you can’t do it

Say not – I cannot enter in

But realize the door is open

Leave your fears and enter in
