It Is Finished

       IT IS FINISHED

 He said unto His Father

“It is finished”

 After He cried,

“Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani.”

In His Eyes, I did detect

A gleam of victory

Before He sighed and bowed His Head

Giving up the Ghost for me.

It is finished

It is finished

I heard Him say it

And it’s true.

The Old Covenant

Has been replaced

By One better

Called “THE NEW”.

This One’s full of Mercy

This One’s full of Grace

Judgment and Condemnation

Is what this One has replaced.

It is finished–means it’s over with

So don’t live in the past

An entrance into the Holiest

Is made for us at last.

Now in The New–He’ll live through you

Furnish all the Strength you need

If you’ll believe–”That It Is Finished”

And enter in with Me.
